Summary

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner comes a harrowing new thriller:

Frankie Elkin is an expert at finding the missing persons that the rest of the world has forgotten, but even she couldn’t have anticipated this latest request—to locate the long-lost sister of a female serial killer facing execution in three weeks’ time。

She has called herself "death," but people called her the devil。

The case was sensational。 Kaylee Pierson had confessed from the very beginning, waived all appeals。 Despite the media’s chronicling of her tragic circumstances—the childhood spent with a violent father—no one could find sympathy for “the Beautiful Butcher” who had led eighteen men home from bars before viciously slitting their throats。
Now, with only twenty-one days left to live, Pierson has finally received a lead on the whereabouts of the sister who was kidnapped over a decade ago, and she needs Frankie’s help to find her。 The Beautiful Butcher’s offer:

When was the last time your search ended with finding the living?

Unable to resist the chance for a rescue, Frankie takes on Pierson’s request。 Twelve years ago, five-year-old Leilani went missing in Hawaii。 The main suspect? Pierson’s tech mogul ex-boyfriend, Sanders MacManus。 Now, on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific—the site of MacManus’s latest vanity project—fresh evidence has appeared。 In order to learn the truth and possibly save a young woman’s life, Frankie must go undercover at the isolated base camp。 Her challenge: A dozen strangers。 Countless dangerous secrets。 Zero means of calling for help。 And then the storm rolls in…

Thank you to Net Galley and Lisa Gardener for the opportunity to review this book I enjoyed this one, and feel I may of needed to read the previous books in the series to get a real feel for Frankie's character。The beginning was fast paced, which lead into a slower middle and then snowballing into the action towards the end。I will definitely look into more books by Lisa Gardener and may start the Frankie Elkins series from the start。 I gave this book a 3 star review due to the slower middle and Thank you to Net Galley and Lisa Gardener for the opportunity to review this book I enjoyed this one, and feel I may of needed to read the previous books in the series to get a real feel for Frankie's character。The beginning was fast paced, which lead into a slower middle and then snowballing into the action towards the end。I will definitely look into more books by Lisa Gardener and may start the Frankie Elkins series from the start。 I gave this book a 3 star review due to the slower middle and not having read the previous 2 in the series I think this held back some of my understanding of the character and how she works on a whole。 。。。more

Wow! That was so good I finished it in a day (staying up way too late)。 Lisa Gardner is an amazing author who pulls you in immediately。 This novel is a shining example of her talents。 What I loved: the broken yet still trying beauty and strength in her characters; the interplay between all the various characters and their roles on the island; the complexity of the killer and how they grew to be like this; the interesting things learned about an atoll and trying to create a eco-friendly space。 Ma Wow! This is the third book in the Frankie Elkin series, and follows up on One Step Too Far, which was one of my favourite thriller reads of 2022Still See You Everywhere, opens with Frankie being contacted by Kaylee Pearson, aka The Beautiful Butcher, a brutal serial killer on death row in Texas。 Kaylee is going to be executed in three weeks, and she wants Frankie to find her younger sister, Lani, who she suspects was abducted twelve years ago by Kaylee’s former abusive lover, a wealthy mogul。Accordi This is the third book in the Frankie Elkin series, and follows up on One Step Too Far, which was one of my favourite thriller reads of 2022Still See You Everywhere, opens with Frankie being contacted by Kaylee Pearson, aka The Beautiful Butcher, a brutal serial killer on death row in Texas。 Kaylee is going to be executed in three weeks, and she wants Frankie to find her younger sister, Lani, who she suspects was abducted twelve years ago by Kaylee’s former abusive lover, a wealthy mogul。According to The Beautiful Butcher’s sources, Lani is being held captive on a Hawaiian island, which is the site of an exclusive luxury resort。 The only way to gain access to the island is for Frankie to go undercover。 But can Frankie really trust the word of a serial killer? Once on the island she finds a range of dangers, plenty of suspicious co-workers and an incoming tropical storm, which is about to cut her off from the outside world。The Frankie Elkin books are notable for their tough, gripping story telling and their not always likeable central character。 Frankie requires some patience, and can be frustrating at times, but she has a good heart and is very capable at what she does。 With her flaws and emotional issues, she makes for an interesting character who eventually wins you over。Still See You Everywhere requires some suspension of disbelief, but it is a very exciting and engaging read。 After a slowish start, the pace quickly picks up and the rest of the book rockets along。 There are surprises a plenty, and the book builds to a satisfying ending。Adding to the enjoyment are Lisa’s vivid descriptions of the Hawaiian island on which the action is set, and her ability to make you feel the heat and the crushing of crabs under your feet。 The witty dialogue and Frankie’s observations also add to the pleasure。Probably not as good as One Step Too Far, but I think that Lisa’s many fans will be more than satisfied with Still See You Everywhere。See full review at: https://murdermayhemandlongdogs。com/m。。。 。。。more

Every author I read is not able to effectively bring the words to life! Side note (super MILD SPOILER below): If you follow the series, get EXCITED! Frankie gets smartphone to use for the flashlight function on the island… WHEW! I thought she was going to hang onto the flip phone forever! Sadly, there is no cell reception and only limited, heavily restricted WiFi available, so I guess we won’t find out in 2024 what her real tech capacity is。 P。S。 I don't believe in spoilers, so this is as close as you’ll get from me ;)***Final note… I was skeptical about the concept of following the storyline of a drifting, often unemployed, missing-persons-obsessed, recovering alcoholic。 Individually, none of these traits would necessarily be deal-breakers for me。 However, the combination of them of all seemed to float frighteningly close to a uniquely toxic addict-codependent construct I typically feel safer not letting inside my head due to my own family and personal history。 That said, I trusted Lisa Gardner。 WITH THIS NOVEL, Lisa Gardner has turned the Frankie Elkin-series into a MUST-READ! CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT COMES NEXT!!! Special thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for the amazing digital review copy in exchange for an honest review。 @BookShell_F 。。。more

Loved this book!!! Though it is the third book in a series, it could be read as a stand alone。 The character of Frankie keeps getting better and deeper with each book in the series。 The other characters were also good。 The setting of a remote island added to the mood of the book and I enjoyed the ecological information provided about resorts in general。 There were some twists I was able to anticipate, but also some I did not! I am a fan of this author。 I have read most of her books。 Admittedly I have not read any of the Frankie series。 Perhaps if I had I would have enjoyed this more。 There are some flashbacks to other events that took place in her life which helped。 Unfortunately, this just didn’t cut it for me。 It was a bizarre story in a bizarre setting and I really did struggle to get through it。 A lot of it read like a travelogue and I didn’t even get interested in the plot until after 70% into it。 I did like Fra I am a fan of this author。 I have read most of her books。 Admittedly I have not read any of the Frankie series。 Perhaps if I had I would have enjoyed this more。 There are some flashbacks to other events that took place in her life which helped。 Unfortunately, this just didn’t cut it for me。 It was a bizarre story in a bizarre setting and I really did struggle to get through it。 A lot of it read like a travelogue and I didn’t even get interested in the plot until after 70% into it。 I did like Frankie’s sense of humor and may be tempted to read another by her in future Gardner endeavors, Today is release day and because I am such a fan of the author’s, I wish her every success。 I do not want to sway any potential reader from diving in。 Try it yourself by going in blind if possible。 It may appeal to you more than it did to me。 My thanks to one of my favorite publishers Grand Central Publishing, to the author, via NetGalley for the e-ARC made available for my unbiased review。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

I would like to thank Netgalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for an advance copy of Still See You Everywhere, the third novel to feature recovering alcoholic Frankie Elkins, who finds missing persons as a hobby。Frankie goes to Texas to meet with Keahi Pearson, aka the Beautiful Butcher, a serial killer on death row with three weeks to live, who wants her to find her sister, Leilani, who disappeared as a five year old twelve years ago。 According to Keahi, Leilani is being held captive by her I would like to thank Netgalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for an advance copy of Still See You Everywhere, the third novel to feature recovering alcoholic Frankie Elkins, who finds missing persons as a hobby。Frankie goes to Texas to meet with Keahi Pearson, aka the Beautiful Butcher, a serial killer on death row with three weeks to live, who wants her to find her sister, Leilani, who disappeared as a five year old twelve years ago。 According to Keahi, Leilani is being held captive by her millionaire ex-boyfriend on a remote atoll near Hawaii and the only way to save her is to go undercover。I enjoyed most of Still See You Everywhere, which starts effectively, drawing the reader in to an unusual setup and posing several questions, like how much of Keahi’s story is real。 Unfortunately the novel slumps a bit for the rest of the first half, introducing the characters and setting with little happening or any tension, before roaring back in the second half with twists, tension and several unlikely events。I must admit that the survivalist nature of life on a development on a remote atoll doesn’t appeal to me and i just knew that the characters would be a bunch of misfits with reasons for dropping out of mainstream society。 Surprisingly, from the thumbnail sketches the reader gets, this is not the case and it is Frankie that fits this description best。 Still, the novel offers murder and mayhem on a grander scale than one would expect on a remote atoll。 There is little about the plot that resembles realism, but I think it is imaginative and compulsive enough to go with the flow rather than question the likelihood of it all, like why anyone would want to go there in the first place!Still See You Everywhere is a good read that I have no hesitation in recommending。 。。。more

Another brilliant book from Lisa Gardner。 Frankie is asked to speak to a prisoner on death row as she wants her help to find her sister。 Frankie will always try and help to find those that are missing, but she has reservations about this one。 Against her better judgment she gets on a plane and heads to a remote island to try and track down the missing girl。 When she arrives, she realises there’s no phone signal and limited wifi。 The people there seem nice enough but Frankie soon realises a few o Another brilliant book from Lisa Gardner。 Frankie is asked to speak to a prisoner on death row as she wants her help to find her sister。 Frankie will always try and help to find those that are missing, but she has reservations about this one。 Against her better judgment she gets on a plane and heads to a remote island to try and track down the missing girl。 When she arrives, she realises there’s no phone signal and limited wifi。 The people there seem nice enough but Frankie soon realises a few of them are hiding things from the others。 I won’t say much more as there’s a few surprises in store and I don’t want to spoil it。 This is a brilliant thriller that I’d highly recommend。 Thanks to Random House UK and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book。 。。。more

I was so excited to see that Lisa Gardner had a new book coming pilot this year and that it was a Frankie Elkin book! You don't need to read the other Frankie books to read this book。 Frankie has a hobby of finding missing persons that police either can't find, or don't search for。 She gets contacted by a lawyer for a serial killer on death row who wants to see her sister again before her death。 This book sends Frankie to an atoll off of Hawaii, where she meets lots of new friends。 It was a grea I was so excited to see that Lisa Gardner had a new book coming pilot this year and that it was a Frankie Elkin book!
